Social Dance Lessons in Tucson

Country Dance

Authentic and real, just like the people. Country dancing is a culture in Tucson. There is always somewhere to country dance.

Here you will learn really, really good Two Step, Swing and then… so much more.

Ballroom Dance

Classy and elegant, Ballroom dancing, is sort of in our name.

We pride ourselves in teaching the sophistication and beauty of these wondrous social dances: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and more.

Swing Dance

Retro meets modern in today’s Swing dances. We are the West Coast so here, we just call it Swing.

We teach classic Rockabilly and Blues styles, European Jive and the ever growing West Coast Swing.

Cuban Dance

Sensual and Spicy from its Latin origins and available, to you, in it’s authentic glory.

We offer you: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Samba, Cumbia, Bolero, Mambo, Rumba, Cha Cha and always The Tango.

About the owners

Meet your company directors and local World Champions Lucas T. Aldrich and his wife Stacey E. Aldrich.

Collectively teaching and dancing professionally for over 23 years, they are the forefront for premium dance education in Tucson.

Lucas and Stacey have successfully built a, fun and lively, dance training company that works like no other. Rather than operating a traditional dance studio. Ballroom Dance Schools offers the highest level of group, event and private educational services within several existing locations around town, around the state and around the country by appointment.

We consistently strive, so that in just one of our group classes, you will learn more than several private lessons from other studios in Tucson. This is so we can make dancing more affordable than ever, without lowering the class and culture of social dancing in Tucson.

Just imagine then, what you can learn in our private dance lessons…

Luke and Stacey Aldrich

Why do we dance?

Every culture, in every time period, since the dawn of time has used dance as a form of communication. Dance generates from a raw human desire of personal expression, social interaction and emotional connection. However, our modern lifestyles disconnect us, and we all know it.

Partner dancing (Country, Ballroom, Swing, Latin, etc) combines rhythmic mind and body motions with a classy discipline of social etiquette.

What is popular here?

It once was the Wild West, Tucson once was Mexico. It is no surprise that the the local night life is infused with the heat of Latin and Country dancing as hot as the sun here.

But that is not all. With local Swing, Ballroom and Tango clubs that meet 2-3 times a week. It is safe to say dancing with a partner, is what is popular.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!

“Stacey is amazing! She helped my husband and I prepare for the first dance for our wedding. I couldn’t believe how quickly my husband I both improved. So many people came up to us at the wedding saying how much they loved our first dance. The lessons are so much fun, I can’t recommend enough!”

Marcus and Lynsey Richter

“They taught me how to get back to my roots, thanks for taking me seriously. Salsa, Merengue and Bachatta all make sense now. I’ve been doing it wrong for 15+ yrs and within a few weeks Stacey corrected my bad habits and got me holding a woman properly. Thanks a million.
